Lesson 4

Hi,
in this lesson, we will have more wide and frequent explanation on the topic of Fuzzy systems.
consider age of people as a field of research. We are trying to have a kind of classification for age of people, so we start our job with schematics like figure (A) below.( point of view [1])

In this figure, you can see that, the classification is arranged in 7 categories (Child, Teenager, Young, Mid age, mature, Old and to Old). considering this figure for an output may raise some disagreement like, why  all  the member's of each category have the same degree of membership in this classification. likewise, a child in his 10th years of age is not the same as a child with 1 years old! or 50 is not a considerable age for a mature one because all governments consider these people as mid aged!.
In tis case we should add some degree of membership for this chart by  transforming the cutting edges of rectangular functions to chords and skewed functions.[reason may like something in figure (B)].
Although the changes, there are still some points of view interfered to becoming in a general conclusion. like, there is still a problem with age 50 and this chart, separates the ages which is positioned in the limits of categories radically. for example, consider a young man in age of 35 years and 2 month!, can you consider him as a mid aged person? or can you say that, a teenager with 19 years and 22 days of age is not a young man?.
So, now we can change the functions and transferring the limits to  common limits between categories by different membership functions. [figure (C)].
Fuzzy Logics, explain the actions and events in this manner. and that is why we consider this type of logics to explain, conflict and Kaotik problems by this method.
In the feature lessons we will argue on the rules and examples of such problems.
sincerely yours.
